In 1947, Jackie Robinson becomes the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era when he was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers and faces considerable racism in the process.

Still not clear on the rules of baseball. I like this movie though. Inspirational sport dramas are always very watchable. There was one scene, though, so frustrating to watch when Alan Tudyk’s character racially abuses Chadwick Boseman’s character. Aside from that, this movie is nice to look at, Harrison Ford and Chadwick Boseman make this movie so watchable with their performances. I would say my only issue with the movie is that it’s very predictable. You know where the story’s going. A lot of sport dramas have a formula to them, biopics as well. I just wished I was surprised by something in this movie. 7,5/10*
