This is the ultimate Western parody.
A town called Rock Ridge where everyone seems to be named Johnson is in the way of the railroad. Hedley Lemar, a politically connected evil guy sends in his henchmen to make the town unlivable so that they can build the railroad. After the sheriff is killed, the town demands a new sheriff from the Governor. Hedley convinces him to send the town the first Black sheriff in the west, but, he’s going to have a hard time being accepted by the people in the town. Since he’s the sheriff, he also meets Waco Kid. His actual name is Jim, but most people call him Jim.
Some of the sequences in this movie have become comedy classics for a reason. I love me a spoof movie here and there. I wish there were more movies like this. You won’t be disappointed by this one. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it. It’s actually really hard to grade this by quality, so, I won’t do that. If you want to be entertained, it’s a 10/10*, a classic for a reason.
