Civil War (2024) Movie Review

Civil War (2024) - Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

A journey across a dystopian civil war stricken future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House.

This movie really should be talked about a lot more. It impressed me in more ways than one and I’m sure it will impress you. First of all, the story sends shivers down your spine. I could see this happening in the not so distant future.

Second, the camera work. The action is epic, it’s beautifully shot. Not just the action, the whole movie in fact has some really gorgeous cinematography. What I like most about the camera work is the action aspect. I’m a hater of shaky cam. But, in this movie it works, it helps add to the tension. The camera movement makes you almost feel like you’re there in the middle of this huge war zone. It works really, really well.

What impressed me most was the sound of the movie, it was really loud, which also made me feel like I was there. It’s a very immersive movie is what I’m saying. Kind of like a documentary almost.

If I would talk anything negative about this movie, I would say that it’s a little too slow when it’s slow. The ending also seemed kind of abrupt. Would have added maybe two very short scenes, but honestly, I’m just nitpicking here. This movie was truly awesome. It’s a must-see in theatres and I’m giving it 9/10*
