Harry Potter and the goblet of fire (2005) Movie Review

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

The first PG-13 rated Harry Potter movie. So, we begin this movie with Harry enjoying the summer with this three friends. They get the tickets to The Quidditch World Cup Final, but after the match is over, Voldemort’s followers “Death Eaters” set a fire to all the visitors’ tents. This scene also features the appearance of the ominous “Dark Mark” in the sky, which causes a huge scare in the magic world. Hogwarts is also hosting “The Triwizard Tournament”, a tournament between three magical schools : Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. This is a highly dangerous tournament and nobody under the age of 17 can compete. They put their name in “The Goblet of Fire” and Harry’s name has been mysteriously chosen even though he didn’t participate. This sets up a big mystery as to who and why Harry’s name was chosen. Since the rules can’t reversed, Harry is forced to go with it and face three death defying challenges. After these three challenges, we finally get to see Voldemort in the flesh. Another great casting choice in Ralph Fiennes. They’ve been building him up as this really evil villain, a force to be reckoned with. And, he’s a creepy ass motherfucker. I wouldn’t want to run into him on the street. This movie is also really sad at the end. Yeah, get used to that. These last five movies will all have tear-jerking endings.

Again, this movie’s length is really the only negative for me. 8/10*
