Inception (2010) - Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible, inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea, but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

At this point you can probably expect what I’m about to say. Christopher Nolan is a genius. He made yet another well-crafted movie with an amazing cast giving great performances and a completely original story that is actually really good. Think of The Matrix and James Bond mixed together and made even better. That’s what this movie is for me. This movie deserved all the four oscar that it won! It won best achievement in cinematography, sound editing, sound mixing and visual effects. Oh, and by the way, most of the effects in this movie are indeed practical. There is CGI (computer generated images) as well, but, for the most part it is all practical. The movie was also nominated for four other oscars (best motion picture of the year, best writing, original screenplay, best original score, best achievement in art direction) and I feel like they should have won one of those (in my opinion best original screenplay).

Do I have any flaws? No! Another 10/10* movie for me!
