Indiana Jones and the last crusade (1989) Movie Review

Now, this is a movie that I have been waiting to talk about! My favorite Indiana Jones movie. We start the movie with a teenage Indiana Jones played by River Phoenix, brother of Joaquin Phoenix. This opening shows how he first developed the love for adventure and his fear of snakes. We then fast forward to present day Indiana Jones, teaching his archeology classes in 1938. He is approached by an art collector who wants him to embark on a search for the Holy Grail. Another archaeologist has disappeared while searching for it. Dr. Henry Jones, Indiana Jones’s father, played marvellously by Sean Connery. The father-son relationship is portrayed really well by both of them in this movie. This movie is also the funniest of the series. Most of the comedy comes from Sean Connery and John Rhys-Davies. Yes, we have Indiana Jones, James Bond and Gimli in this movie.

The journey takes them to Venice, Berlin, and the Middle East. And, again, just like in the first movie, the villains of this movie are the Nazis. Despite the fact that I like this movie more than the first one, I’m giving it the same grade: 8,5/10*
