Life of Brian is the greatest religious satire of all time. Comedy gold. A timeless classic. This movie is set in 33 A.D. Judea where the Romans try to impose order, it is a time of chaos and change with no shortage of messiahs and followers willing to believe them. The main character is Brian Cohen who is born in Bethlehem in a stable next door to Jesus. In this movie Brian gets mistaken for a messiah in a series of absurd and hilarious circumstances. The entire ensemble absolutely shines in this movie in multiple roles as they question everyone and everything from ex-lepers, crazy prophets, Roman centurions and crucifixion. This is yet another great Monty Python movie, in my opinion, even better than the last one.
Of course this movie gets a 10/10* as well.
