Marie Skłodowska-Curie’s Wikipedia page is more interesting than the story in this movie. This movie rather focuses more on her private, romantic life with Pierre Curie than her achievements in science and chemistry… That’s what disappointed me about this movie. This movie could have been way more awesome if it focused on her achievements much much more. Brushing that weird story-telling choice aside, the performances are what save this movie for me. Especially the performance of Rosamund Pike. She is giving a much better performance than this movie deserves. Sam Riley and Yvette Feuer are also good in the movie. It also looks nice, mostly, I guess… That’s pretty much all I can recommend about this movie. This is more of a straight to TV movie than a movie that is made to be watched in a cinema. I’m going to give it 6/10*.
