Noomi Rapace
Michael Fassbender
Charlize Theron

Wow. That is what I was thinking as I finished this movie and walked out of the theater. I felt like I had just been transported to another planet, or moon to be more exact, for the last 120 minutes. The visual effects in this film are absolutely stunning and the 3D adds an extra dimension that makes everything just come to life.

In terms of story and acting, things are done well enough and while not perfect, they don't make this unwatchable. By far, the best performance in the movie is by Michael Fassbender as the robot David, Fassbender truly makes you believe he has no feeling and that he is a robot. Noomi Rapace does a good job as well but for some reason doesn't have much time on screen for being the leading lady. She does a great job during one sequence that will make you squirm as well.

There's a lot to question about the story in general, and I suspect there will be another entry in this series as there is a lot left unanswered by the end. While this is most definitely a prequel to Alien, it can definitely stand on it's won if there will be a sequel. There are lots of questions to be answered still and as the movie ends, we're ready for more answers. Biggest regret is that there wasn't more to this film. At just under 2 hours running time, the film could have gone another hour and I would have been lost in the world.

Fun movie with lots of tense moments and a bit of humor as well.

My Conclusion:
Awesome effects - see it in theaters to get the full experience.
