After the not-so-good movie that was Quantum of solace, Skyfall makes up for it! This is another great movie. Not as action packed as Casino Royale. This movie is more story focused, a drama, kind of a character study and this is why I love this movie so much, besides the fact that it looks gorgeuous and that it’s well acted, the action is filmed really well. I don’t know what happened with the action in Die another day and Quantum of solace…
Javier Bardem as this cyber terrorist villain who has a past with Judi Dench’s M… Really great personal story between these two. It’s like GoldenEye but so much better. Also, James Bond’s trust in M is tested because of this so that creates this great tenison throughout the whole movie! These performances are great, everybody is excellent in this movie. I can’t tell which I liked more.
What makes this movie look so good, so perfect is because it’s directed by Sam Mendes who eventually directed Spectre and one of my favorite movies of this year, 1917! The director of photography on this movie is Roger Deakins who was also director of photography on Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner 2049, No country for old men, Sicario, Big Lebowski, A beautiful mind!
This is another perfect movie and this is another James Bond movie that I’m giving 10/10*!
