The Fall Guy (2024) Movie Review

The Fall Guy (2024) - Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?

This movie was truly a fun time! Exciting action, good humour, a little murder mystery, behind the scenes look at movie making, a really cool soundtrack and two charming leads! Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt work wonderfully together. Aaron Taylor-Johnson does a good job too. He’s always good for me. I hope to see him in more lead roles. I think he would kill it. Though, let’s wait and see how Kraven: The Hunter does for him. David Leitch has directed another great movie. He knows how to make a great action comedy mixed with a little bit of murder mystery. Bullet Train was good and I will say that I equally liked this one. So, if you liked Bullet Train, you’ll like this one, no doubt. I watched this movie four times for all the reasons mention, but, the biggest reason is Emily Blunt. She has been my #1 Hollywood crush since 2014…

The only issue I have with this movie is that it’s too stuffed, too much going on in the story, and, you kind of get tired while watching it all unfold. That’s why I felt it was a lot longer than it is. I mean, I though Bullet Train was over 2 and a half hours, even though it was 2 hours and 7 minutes with credits. Nevertheless, though, this was a really good time and I will happily watch it again when it comes out on Blu-Ray! 8/10*
