The Last Waltz (1978) Movie Review

The Last Waltz (1978) - Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

Thanksgiving, 1976, San Francisco’s Winterland: the Band performs its last concert after 16 years on the road. Some songs they do alone, some songs include guest titans of music! Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Van Morrison, Ringo Starr and more. Wow, what a line-up. If you’re a fan of The Band or any of these other musicians I just listed, then I encourage you to watch it. Scorsese’s camera also explores the interactions onstage in the making of music. Offstage, he interviews the Band’s five members, focusing on the nature of life on the road. The friendships, the harmonies, the crazy stuff, and the wear and tear add up to a last waltz.

I mean, I’m just speechless on this one… 10/10*!
