The Man Who Would Be King (1975) Movie Review

The Man Who Would Be King (1975) - Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

Newspaper correspondent Rudyard Kipling (Christopher Plummer) is startled to get a visit from a man in miserable state, who reveals to be Peachy Carnehan (Michael Caine), who, with his army veteran buddy in crime and adventure, Daniel “Danny” Dravot (Sean Connery), set out to make their fortune in Kafiristan, a backward Himalayan tribal warfare zone.

The movie is worth watching simply for that casting trio alone. This is also a very unique movie. It’s not just a war movie but a very funny adventure movie as well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie like this, that I remember at least. 8/10*
