You Only Live Twice (1967) Movie Review - Quick Movie Reviews by Haris

In this movie James Bond teams up with the Japanese Secret Service in order to find and stop the true evildoers of a series of space hijackings, before war is provoked between Russia and the United States. This is a movie that I didn’t really know if I like or not, so, I went back and saw it a second time. And I gotta say, this is another solid entry in the 1960’s James Bond movies.

The mission is typical 1960’s madness, but, it can also work in a modern James Bond movie if done right. Sean Connery is great again. The rest of the acting, however… Now, that’s a different story. The acting is terrible here, especially the villain of this movie. Also, I know I said I won’t be talking about the bad special effects, but, I found myself laughing my ass off while watching some of them in this movie.

I could have gone for a lower rating on this movie, but Sean Connery and the story are what save this movie for me and I’m going to give it: 7/10*
