David Mann (Dennis Weaver) is just a regular family man on a business trip. Unfortunately, things go from bad to worse when a huge gasoline truck in front of him forces him to drive slower than he wants. As the drive continues, Mann realises that he’s not dealing with just another road blocker. Though he can never see the trucker’s face, the driver proves to be psychopathic, starting to run Mann off the road and trick or force him into a number of deadly situations. As the horrific trip continues, Mann tries to lose the truck, but each time he thinks he’s finally in the clear, the truck returns to terrify him more. Finally, the horrific conflict builds to a point where he realises that running won’t save him, and that he must take a stand and fight back against the insane trucker.

This movie is very underrated and is one of the best and well made chase movies ever. Not a lot of people talk about this movie. Dennis Weaver’s performance in this movie is great. He perfectly captures the horror of being terrorised on the road. If you’re driving on a desolate road or at night and you see somebody else behind, all of a sudden, a paranoia kicks in. The brilliant music also adds to the creepiness of this movie. This movie is filled with suspensful chase scenes, but, a scene that takes place in a cafe as Dennis Weaver is looking around and looking at all these different people and he suspects that the driver of the truck might be in there too, might be my favorite scene in the movie. 9/10*
